Investigative Judgment

The Investigative Judgement  was never a doctrine that I was very serious about as an SDA.  The glue that held me to the beliefs of that Church was the Sabbath, something which should be obvious to anyone reading my earlier posts.  The reason that I am stating this is to make it clear that this issue is not so personal to me, and to point out that not all SDA believe in the Investigative Judgment, or at the very least, not as it is taught by Ellen White.

That said, I have found that a lot of SDA both current and former have been reading my blog in countries all over the world.  For their sake I have chosen to study this doctrine from an SDA perspective and provide a lay Biblical analysis for any and all interested.

1.  “Seated at the Right hand of the throne of God”

2.  “Shall not come into Judgment”

3.  The 2300 Year Prophecy

4.  The 490 Year Prophecy

5.  The Day of Atonement

6.  The 23 Assumptions

7.  The False Gospel of SDA

I have thought about this for a while, and I have come to the conclusion that the investigative judgment is no different from the Catholic doctrine of purgatory. Which is ironic, given the very anti-Catholic tone in Adventist writings and eschatology.

But SDA’s have already formed a soteriological image to what they consider the beast!
They are like wild animals, born only to be caught in their SDA lies and destroyed.
these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish. 2 Peter 2.12

The 1844 based IJ spits in the scriptural Jesus’ face. He claimed judgement was on the LAST day, not 1844. Another shining example of SDA pride, arrogance, rebellion and industrial strength disobedience.

“the word that I have spoken will judge him on the LAST day.” — John 12.48, ESV

The IJ actually has Jesus timesetting.
Picture Him on His next to last person to judge.
He knows that the second coming is in a mere hour or so!
But true Christians know that only the Father knows.
    Those sneaky little SDA’s.

after all our arguments we still face 2 corinthains 5:10 and romans 14:10.no dates given but the reality still dawns .Paul was not addressing non believers ,Paul never said there is no judgment seat to be faced by believers ,he said NO CONDEMNATION but of judgment seat he said WE SHALL all face it…..future to Paul !

what does facing the judgment seat of Christ mean as a believer ?….For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

why do we need to appear before a judgement seat ?

The Bible literally answers this question of yours right here. It’s judgement day itself, not the investigative judgement.

‘ “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”’
