Today it is common to make up laws, read them into the Bible, and then pass them around as truth. It is also common for people to use the same practice to bless things the Bible does rebuke as sin. The two false teachings are played against each other and passed off as a dispute between legalism and liberalism when in fact both teach heterodoxy at best and heresy at worst.
